A discussion with Samisen player/ 三味線弾きと対談
I had a discussion and dinner with Samisen player, Mr. wakan Saotome.
The Samisen is a three-stringed instrument similar to a banjo.(Quoted from Online dictionary "SPACE ALC" http://www.alc.co.jp/)
Mr. Saotome is one of unique players who play a kind of avant-garde performance such as integrating blues guitar and Samisen into his play style.
We have been seeking possibilities to create something interesting for a long time, and finally we tried to co-work with arranging on his live performance sound source. Still the trial work are on the way, ambient taste or remix and so on...
The discussion upon demonstration were fruitful and we agreed the demonstration was really interesting and suggestive one.
Maybe we should make an effort to finalize the sound soon.
I could appear again with the sound and more details about discussion.
三味線奏者の早乙女和完氏と対談した。
・・・食事会をしただけですが（笑）
和完氏はアバンギャルドな三味線奏者で幼少からの三味線とブルースギターのアドリブ的要素を取り入れた珍しい邦楽奏者です。
何か一緒に出来ないかと探っていたのですか
時間のたつのは早いもので、
もう、何年かたってしまいました。
年初、会う機会があってその時も今年こそはと
・・・さらに数ヶ月
１０月にちょっと時間ができたので彼のライブ演奏の音源を送ってもらいそこで、テストとして私がアレンジすることにしました。
アンビエント風に、ＲＩＭＩＸ風に、などと模索しつつの作業でした。
（１１月にデモアップ済み）
アコースティックなものに電気的なものを加えることがいいことなのか迷いましたが・・・・・
その音源を受けての対談（笑）でした。
デモは面白いものなったと二人とも認識してます。
まだ、模索中でどうなるか
後は時間との勝負でしょか！
・・・また、何年かかるか（笑）
＊対談の中身は音源が充実してからということでまた報告します。
と、今回も唐突に終わります。

Film director, Mr. Ben Suzuki /鈴木 勉監督
...is the first Japanese personal who won the GRAND PRIX award at the 10th short film festival with his work "A day of hutong".

The "A day of hutong" also won the Concolt international film festival in Italy and the world festival Huston international film festival. Fortunately, I had a chance to join his next new art work.
(Frankly, we are a long term friend for drinking and talking rather than colleague in work...hahaha)
And I attended the review for the art work at the theatre Shinjyuku.
The title of the short film is "Hana-flower", which was recorded with using a specific camera called "RED", as featured in Hollywood!!.
And I personally believe it was finished as tremendous beautiful and qualified movie with a full of Japanese view.
I featured the piano sound since the director demanded music for background should be simple and neat. In fact, it's the most difficult to do "simple", but I could express fugacious or languid feeling with it anyway. I put my sprit into each tone by tone.
I am not sure when the art could appear to audience, and I would like to express my appreciations to the director for inviting me for the art work.

「胡同の一日」はほかにコンコルト国際短編映画際（イタリア）審査員特別賞、ワールドフェスト・ヒューストン国際映画祭（アメリカ）金賞受賞で、
昨年はすばらしいご活躍でした。その彼の新作のショートフィルムのお手伝いをしました。
彼とは飲み友達（笑）・・・ではなくて（そうとも言うが）
映画、ＣＭ、昨今の世情、などについて語れる、尊敬できる長年の良き仕事仲間です。
その、ＢＥＮ ＳＵＺＵＫＩ監督の新作ショートフィルムのお披露目会と打ち上げ会が先日、新宿シアターでありました。
＊打ち上げ会には参加できませんで、セッティングしてくださったスタッフの方々にはご迷惑おかけしました。
ショートフィルムのタイトルは「花」私は音楽担当なので撮影機材等についてあまり詳しくないので詳細は書けませんが、カメラは今、ハリウッドで注目されている「レッド」？というカメラで撮影したとのこと。
私が言うのはなんですが、上質な映像に仕上がってます。前回は中国で、今回は日本の風景です。
音楽はあくまでも清楚でシンプルにと言うことでピアノで空気感をだしました。
シンプルにって言われると難しいです。（笑） ＢＧＭだと流れてしまうので。
「物憂げな」とか「儚さ」とかを音楽で表現できたような・・・・・？
今回、声をかけていただきＢＥＮ監督ありがとうございました。
てなことで、反省もありますが音ひとつひとつ大事に作りました。
どのタイミングで皆様にご覧いただけるのかわかりませんが、楽しみにしててください。

It's long time no see. ひさびさ
Hi, there,
long time no see.
I've talked with one of junior fellow at my university age, Mr. TS, a vocalist and is trainer for vocalists as well, with tens of publishings for art of singing. By the way, his wife also translated some training books to Japanese.
It's no need to say his voice radiate bouncy energy since he sings every day.
I am very sorry I could not meet them for a while, but I 'm happy to know they seem to be well.
Oh! this reminds me that I have not been KARAOKE to shout recently!
I have to do so nearly soon, I hope...
additionally it reminds me that...
I joined a project of promotional film for KARAOKE company, "Soon the world begins to sing", which was recorded in N.Y., Paris and Florida, focusing on world market.
How is the situation of KARAOKE globally?
I remember it was "almost" in U.S., how's in Europe?
It's better to play easily indeed.
Still I love to play a band.
Hmmm.. I seem to write pointlessly again...
先週、大学の後輩のT,S君と久々に話しました。
彼はヴォーカリストで著名な指導者でもあります。
歌唱の著書を何冊もだしてます。
奥様も海外の歌唱指導書の翻訳書をだしてたりします。
毎日、歌ってるせいか彼の声は、はつらつとしてます。・・・当たり前か！
忙しいのでなかなかお二人にお会いできませんが
お元気のようでなによりです。
そういえば、私、大きな声出してない。歌も歌ってない。
カラオケにも行ってない。
・・・そうだ近々に行こう 年末だし・・・
で、思いだました。 ・・・ちょっと強引ですが！
昔、やったカラオケ会社のCMで「やがてが世界が歌いだす」というCMがあって
ニューヨーク、パリ、フロリダ？などで録音した？世界進出を意識したCMだったけど・・・
外国では今「カラオケ」はどうなんだろう？
アメリカではどうだったか？ヨーロッパでは？
噂あまり聞きませんね
（私だけ知らないのかもしれませんが）。
・・・・アジアでは流行ってそうな気がしますが？
文化も違いますし手軽なのはいいですが。
やはり生演奏、ライブでしょうか。・・・
と、とりとめもなく終わります。
